home sweet home
March 12, 2010 So super excited to share my recent projects with you.
First, the latest addition to my bathroom door.

Easiest craft EVER. I found these little wood cutouts at Hobby Lobby and used some scrapbooking paper I had on hand. Simply glue them down with mod podge and then trim the eccess paper around the edges. The knubbs presented a little difficulty, but still easy enough to re-make if I decide I want color patterns.

And some personality for the mailbox! Below is the outside slot, which my husband suggested we paint it to have a mouth with fangs, so it appears to eat the mail..............

And the inside. {before}

And {after}

Using a decorative knob from Hobby Lobby and an order of vinyl letters from Words Anywhere, I'd say an improvement, yes?

Lastly, the other sweet in my home today. I entered a giveaway from inspired by charm and WON! I just had to share my delightful little prize, pinapple blueberry jam, it was delicious! Maybe I've only had grocery-store-grape, but I was never a big jam person. Until now. I also acquired lovely bakers twine—on spindles, take a look at Michaels blog and check them out, so great! Thanks again Michael.
Happy weekend friends!

Cutest bathroom project ever! What a great idea :)
they both turned out great! I love the bathroom door symbols. I want to make some for ours and those wood cutouts work great.
I was so excited when we moved to an older home with a mail slot directly to the house! First we had to put a hook on it to keep the cold wind from blowing inside (it is Nebraska, after all)...but now - thanks to you, I can pretty it up a bit! I also am running out to Hobby Lobby today to get the cut outs for the bathroom door. So cool! Thanks for the fun and easy ideas!
