porch redo
April 12, 2010 The sad before:

The very happy after:

So excited. You have no idea how obsessed I am with this space. Pretty sure I want to spend as much time as possible sitting on the porch. Here is the price breakdown:
Ceiling paint // $20
Table set (craigslist) // $30
Table paint // $15
Cushions (ebay) // $30
Hanging planter (owned, from ikea) // $12
Table plant (walmart) // $13
Striped rug (owned, from ikea) // $3
Adirondack rocker (owned) // $40
B&W pillow (garden ridge) // $15
Adirondack table (garden ridge) // $25
Yellow planter (home depot) // $14
Ceramic bird (antique store) // $2.50
Total // $219.50 (minus what I owned) = $164.50
Not to bad. I had hoped (unrealistically) to spend around $100. But I'll get over it. ;)
Now you're all invited over for summer bbq's!!!

AHHHH!!!!! This is sooooo lovely! I want a porch now!
Great job! The porch looks amazing. You have inspired me to fix up my deck.
I absolutely love this! You really transformed the space beautifully.
Wow! You did a great job...and you didn't go over by much. I wish I was that crafty. :)
What a delightful space! Accomplishing a transformation like this is so satisfying! It is lovely.
What a colorful, cozy porch! I would hang out there all of the time too. Love the cushions too!
I love your porch makeover! I was just telling my mom earlier today that I would help her spray paint her metal chair and table set similar to what you did. But I never would have thought of blue!! :-)
What a renovation! Can't wait to add to my link list today.
Hi, I came across your blog on Design Mom's blog and I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE those cushions!! So vibrant and fun!! I also love the green rocker!! It's doubly inspiring to see that it didn't cost a lot of money to get the look either!! =)
Some day, I will have a porch. And some day, the porch that I will some day have will want so very much to be as charming as yours.
I absolutely love the kelly green rocker. And your pillows/cushions are divine!
Good jorb!
This is quite a great example.
