mini sailor's knot

I have no idea what possessed me to make these tiny monkey fist knots. In life, one thing leads to another and eventually you always end up with a bunch of knots, right?

You may recognize them from a popular Design*Sponge feature a while back. Someday they'll sneak their way into a future project of mine—because they are just too cute!

I love the little sailor knots, too! If you are still thinking about ideas for them you might want to consider turning them into key rings. I can't say I made one, but I bought a simple one with a tiny sailor knot years ago in Nova Scotia and it's still my favorite. It's so nice to hold that I keep only the house key on it and grab it when I go for a walk. It's also nice to loan it to visiting friends and family.
