random inspiration {babies breath}

So this will seem really random, but bear with me.

It's been one of those weeks. Where plans and projects just don't happen because something in work/life implodes. When I was unable to make it to the store for diy supplies earlier this week, I was at a loss for my blog post yesterday. That brings us to today, where I decide I just need a little inspiration pick-me-up.

Babies breath has been in my mental bank for a while, I just love it's simple beauty. Also, I recently read the book The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh and have been captivated by the idea of the project in the book—a catalog of flowers and their meanings. Shoot, what's holding me back of making this catalog in my own style? Nothing. I guess this means I now have a little side project in the works.

Anyone else having one of those weeks? Or have you read the book? And didn't you love it?!

I feel like this has been my entire month. I just can't get it together.

Anyways. I love Baby's Breath! I bought 2 big bunches the other week and split them up in jars around the house. They are still going strong at least 3 weeks later and lord knows I have not changed the water :)

It's the perfect flower for when life feels overwhelming and impossible to tackle.
