This is sooo fitting because I am preparing to step back into high school (almost literally). This weekend is my husband's high school reunion (same school I went to) and I can't express how giddy I am about it. Many of my friends will be there, but also I love that I will witness the fact that some people are exactly the same—just ten years older. Small town drama is the cheapest entertainment out there. True story.

Apparently this year for July 4th all I care about are food related posts. So here's another—with fun sprinkles! After crossing paths with these festive red-white-blue balls, I knew they needed to be used in something like this ice cream sandwich. But taking these photos made me think "perhaps something that doesn't melt would be better". Like smothering rice crispy bars with nutella and then sprinkles. YUM.

Just a wee bit delayed on this weeks post! Gearing up for this weekends celebration with a pre-party last night, and wanted to go all out with these pretty cupcakes!
These were no small feat, even though I used a box mix. But every once in a while it's worth it to go all out, right? The buttercream frosting even has a layer of gold shimmer (sigh). Deep down I might believe these are too pretty to eat...
