happy easter peeps!

Another little something for you! These images are a sneak peek of a project I am working on (an Easter brunch). This invite includes some tasty treats, although not the best to photograph. Peeps are kinda deformed...like every single one of them.

So I made the invite into a fun printable if you want to give out an Easter card! I hope you enjoy!

stunning ezine *styled*

You must check out this crazy pretty magazine. Victoria of A Subtle Revelry pulled together an amazing team to create some amazing eye candy for us all—with entertaining tips, diy's, and shopping ideas.

And to make this even better, she featured my cookie downloads link! So flattered! It's listed under "100 Reasons to Celebrate". Super fun. I don't know about you, but I plan to celebrate. Thanks so much, Victoria!

sweet paris party

Fitting this time of year to share a party themed around the city of love! Look at these incredibly chic and simple details by Stephanie of the blog Stephmodo.

Are the details not the most darling things you've ever seen?! I want to eat it all up. Activities included making crepes and pipe cleaner Eiffel Towers. So clever. AND her goal is to spend $50-$100, which is the icing on the cake because we all know how budgets and number of parties become so unrealistic. Thrifty - simple - gorgeous - definitely my cup of tea.

Find more images of the party here, and be sure to dissect her entire blog here. The array of themed parties is absolutely magical. Thanks so much to Stephanie for allowing me to share!

easy cupcake color update

Ending the week with the simple idea of adding food coloring to update your cupcakes.

For a friends' birthday, I wanted to customize these cupcakes to be her favorite colors. I simply added yellow to strawberry cake batter and (insert ta da sound effect), orange cupcakes to the rescue. Perfect for planning parties where color matters...perhaps a certain football championship game at the end of this month.

Hope you have another great weekend! (one part productive and two parts rest)

simple party { wine glass exchange

How it works: Everyone invited simply brings one wine glass (wrapped real pretty), and then you play "steal from your neighbor" or just trade gifts. Perfect for holidays, when budgets are tight and calendars are full of parties. Even more fun, bringing FOUR individually wrapped glasses, so that you go home with an entirely unique set.

Other great gift party ideas? Something wallet friendly AND you want to take home (unlike the dreaded white elephant exhange)?

bbq and baby

Being that I love all things rustic and non-traditional, it's clear that I was smitten when Mekala of Tie That Binds posted this baby shower featuring her custom stationery. Oh, to be a guest! The subtle charm and sweet southern flair is so classy, and the stationery was perfect for the occasion. This chica is constantly showcasing one beautiful event after the other, and I so admire her hard work and building a dream business from the ground up. Motivation for us all to pursue our dreams.

strawberry heaven

A last dash of berry goodness.

My friend, Lydia, and I made this non-traditional cake for her birthday bbq. So much yumminess, I could hardly stand to share with other guests. > recipe here.

And just to let you know, next time my photos will look like this and this.

charming diy craft

These wine glass charms were a super fun craft that my sis-in-law, Colleen, put together for a bridal shower. Perfect for any group of gals, using their personal taste to create something unique and sassy.

Just combine any bead with any wire in any shape. I just loved how easy this craft was, especially for the non-crafty types. And the perfect job for the leftover stash of unwanted beads! My charms turned out more dull than others', because I wanted to coordinate with my kitchen color! < nerd

Supplies/Tools
} A selection of colored wire
} A slew of leftover beads // all shapes & sizes
} Wire cutter
} Needle nose plier

And this is my adorable nephew, Van, that is the creative genius behind Colleen's blog name, Chipmonkey. I included him just for show and tell.
