lovely bundle {under the big top}

I always feel so inspired after finishing this column, grouping lovely themed images. How fun is the circus?! Today is inspired by seeing the movie above recently and attending Circus Flora this week. The subtle awe and wonder of the circus IS pure magic.

lovely bundle {colorful birthday}

Today is a special day in my life! 28 years ago today my amazingly incredible husband was born! I am so blessed to have him in my life and wish we were together celebrating. These pretty images will have to suffice as consolation in lieu of a party.

This weekend my mom is visiting (yay!) and we are tackling my front yard. It will be landscaping intensity, which is not my forté. Wishing you all celebratory weekend! What are your long weekend plans?

lovely bundle {royal wedding}

Did this event sneak up on anyone else? I can't believe it's in a few days. Had I thought far enough ahead, I would have loved to do an inspiration shoot with a theme for a royal wedding party. Golds and yellows, sparkles and glam, tea and pastries. It would be so much fun.

Does anyone have party/watching plans for this once in a lifetime event?

easter brunch

Easter is over, it's true. But I cannot hold back the images from this weekend.

You might remember these Easter cards I designed while making the invitation for this event. This Easter brunch was a fun event full of bold color and fresh flowers. No pastels allowed. The theme was designed around three bold colors, accented with simple details like book paper and vintage fabric.

On the menu were quiche, vanilla bean scones, fruit kabobs, a yogurt bar, and delicious citrus mimosas. A favorite detail of the event was the Easter baskets. The adorable teal fruit crates were the brilliant idea found here, by Beka and Kimberly of Styled. Another lovely detail were the table centerpieces made from ceramic egg crates with dyed eggs as flower vases. Overall a fun morning celebration, full of color and yummy eats. I've also included the delicious recipes below, in case this inspires you to host a summer brunch!

Recipes: Fruit kabobs // vanilla bean scones // chicken spinach quiche // bacon & mushroom quiche //

sweet paris party

Fitting this time of year to share a party themed around the city of love! Look at these incredibly chic and simple details by Stephanie of the blog Stephmodo.

Are the details not the most darling things you've ever seen?! I want to eat it all up. Activities included making crepes and pipe cleaner Eiffel Towers. So clever. AND her goal is to spend $50-$100, which is the icing on the cake because we all know how budgets and number of parties become so unrealistic. Thrifty - simple - gorgeous - definitely my cup of tea.

Find more images of the party here, and be sure to dissect her entire blog here. The array of themed parties is absolutely magical. Thanks so much to Stephanie for allowing me to share!

easy cupcake color update

Ending the week with the simple idea of adding food coloring to update your cupcakes.

For a friends' birthday, I wanted to customize these cupcakes to be her favorite colors. I simply added yellow to strawberry cake batter and (insert ta da sound effect), orange cupcakes to the rescue. Perfect for planning parties where color matters...perhaps a certain football championship game at the end of this month.

Hope you have another great weekend! (one part productive and two parts rest)
