I have had some success designing for Minted, and took on their latest Breakout Wedding Challenge. The judges this time around are 100 Layer Cake and Brooklyn Bride. I recommend checking out all the fun designs—so much inspiration! And of course while you're there, I would sure covet your rating my designs.

Any thoughts? Favorites? Not-so-favorites?

What better way to find beautiful details than weddings?! I promise this will not turn
into a wedding blog...but I COULD NOT resist the unbelievably adorable details found
in this wedding. Aimee and Phil were married in a little white chapel in Kansas. You can
see their charm and personality throughout every inch of the celebration. All photos taken by the talented Tom and Jerry, a father/son team in Kansas City.

You can probably guess that my favorite is the thrifted coffee cup favors. LOVE LOVE. The adirondack chairs and parasols being a close second. Every detail is so fresh. You can find more pictures here. Doesn't this ALMOST make you want to get married again.......?

the fun begins

I get the privilege of throwing a bridal shower for a wonderful friend, and I am more than excited to start planning. I wanted to share some of my research and prep you for the fun that will be following.

There will be some great diy to share in the upcoming weeks. Does anyone have any fun tips for throwing a shower?! This will be my first one and I need all the help I can get.

top o' the morning

March is an important month when you are married to an Irish family, so for the first post of the month I wanted to share a few images of how I incorporated Irish heritage into my wedding.

My oh-so-talented mother made this adorable garter a few days before the wedding. Complete with a Claddaugh charm—a traditional marriage symbol that means, "With my two hands I give you my heart, and crown it with my loyalty."

And a fun blessing that I added to our wedding favor. This tutorial was featured on Style Me Pretty last March. Coming soon I will share my tutorial/recipe for homemade Irish Cream—which is amazing by the way. Stay tuned...

gifts for giving

Shop announcement: >>> I LOVE giving practical and thoughtful gifts that are obviously, pretty. One goal with my Etsy will be to continue this concept with products. The idea is to package an idea in a way that anyone can make the gift their own.

So today I introduce this sweet {just-delivered-a-baby} tote for moms.

Followed by the printable pdf door hanger for the bachelorette or bride-to-be gift. I have made a number of these for all the weddings in the last year, I think it's a great way to add a personal touch.

What do you (all three of you) think?! Any other fun gift ideas or ways to make these gifts even better?
